What to See in Istanbul

Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, the Basilica Cistern and the Grand Bazaar all sit within walking distance of each other in the Old City. Across the Golden Horn, the Galata Tower and the Istiklal Avenue quarter show a different, more modern face of the city. On the Asian side, Kadıköy and Üsküdar feel like a separate Istanbul entirely.

How Many Days Do You Need?

Two full days cover the essential monuments. Three days let you add the Bosphorus, the Asian side and a hammam or a Bosphorus dinner cruise. A half-day tour is enough if you are arriving on a cruise ship or have a long layover at Istanbul Airport.

Private or Group?

Our tours are private by default: your own licensed guide, your own vehicle, and a pace set by you rather than by a group. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included across the European side, and on request from the Asian side and the airports.

Best Time to Visit

April to June and September to November bring mild weather and thinner crowds. July and August are hot and busy. Winter is quiet, cheaper, and still fully open — the museums, mosques and hammams run all year.
