ATV Quad Safari
The Valleys With a Throttle
This is a two-hour guided ATV quad safari through the Cappadocia valleys, covering the Rose Valley, Çavuşin and the Göreme panorama with two guides per convoy, all equipment and hotel transfers. No licence or experience is required and the price is €40 per person.
The valleys are 30 kilometres across and the tracks between them are not walkable in an afternoon — a quad covers the ground in two hours and reaches viewpoints that tour buses never get to. It is not the most cultural thing to do in Cappadocia, and it is not meant to be.

- Helmet, briefing and a guide at the front throughout
- Two hours on the trail, suitable for first-time riders
- Hotel pickup and drop-off included
How the Ride Runs
Transfer from your hotel to the trail base. A short briefing covers the controls, the hand signals and the convoy rules — one guide at the front, a second at the rear, no overtaking on the descents.
The first section climbs the tracks above Çavuşin and drops into the Rose Valley, where the rock turns pink in late afternoon. Dusty, fast and wide open — the part most people remember.
A stop at the Göreme panorama for photographs, then a slower run through the tracks between the fairy chimneys, where the route narrows and the guide sets the pace.
Back to the base, helmets returned, then transfer to your hotel. The whole outing is about two hours including transfers.
About This Experience
An ATV safari is not the most cultural thing to do in Cappadocia, and it is not meant to be. The valleys are 30 kilometres across and the tracks between them are not walkable in an afternoon — a quad covers the ground in two hours and gets you to viewpoints that tour buses never reach.
The ride suits families with teenagers, groups who want one active afternoon, and travellers who have done the balloon and the museums and want something with a throttle. No licence is required and no experience is needed; the machines are automatic and the convoy speed is set by the slowest rider.

When To Go
The trails run year-round, but the experience changes completely with the season. April to June and September to October are the best: dry tracks, comfortable temperatures and the Rose Valley turning pink in the late afternoon. July and August are hot and very dusty — book the 17:00 slot rather than midday. Winter is cold and muddy, and heavy snow closes some tracks, but the valleys are empty and the guides shorten the route accordingly. The late afternoon slot is always the best light.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a driving licence?
No. The quads are automatic and no licence is required for guided trail riding on private tracks. Drivers must be at least 18; passengers can be younger, but children under 12 usually ride with an adult.
Is it dangerous?
It is an adventure activity, not a theme-park ride, and the tracks are real terrain. That said, the convoy speed is set by the slowest rider, there are two guides per group, and the descents are walked through. Accidents are rare and almost always caused by overtaking, which is why it is not allowed.
How dirty do I get?
Quite. Cappadocia's tracks are volcanic dust, and it gets into everything. Wear clothes you do not mind and bring a bandana or buy a mask on site. There is a wash station at the base.
Can two people share a quad?
Yes, and most couples do. Two-seater quads are available at the same price per vehicle; tell us your group size at booking so the right machines are prepared.
What time should I book?
The last slot of the day, around 17:00 in summer and 15:00 in winter. The Rose Valley turns pink in the hour before sunset, and the trails are quieter. Midday slots are the hottest and dustiest.
