Tour Overview

This route links the three places that define Turkey for most visitors, in the order that makes the geography work: Cappadocia in the centre, Ephesus on the Aegean, Pamukkale inland from it. Domestic flights replace the long drives, so the four days are spent at the sites rather than on the road.

Each region answers a different question. Cappadocia is geology and early Christianity; Ephesus is the classical city at its most complete; Pamukkale is what happens when a fault line and a Roman spa town occupy the same hillside. Two nights in Cappadocia and one in Selçuk means no single day is a transfer day.

The tour suits first-time visitors with four days to spare, and travellers who would rather see three regions properly than spend a week on a coach. It is a private tour: the vehicle and guide are yours, and the order of stops bends to your group.

  • Total walking is moderate: 2–3 km per day on uneven ground at Göreme, Ephesus and Hierapolis

When To Travel

April to June and September to October are the best months for this route: 16–26°C across all three regions, dry ground at Ephesus and Pamukkale, and the highest chance of Cappadocia balloons actually launching. July and August are hot — 33–38°C at Ephesus and Pamukkale — and the itinerary then starts earlier each morning and adds indoor breaks. November to March is quiet and cool at 6–15°C; Cappadocia may see snow, Pamukkale's pools are cold, and balloon flights are grounded more often. Avoid the Kurban Bayramı week, when domestic flights and hotels fill months in advance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hotel accommodation included?

No. The price covers flights, transport, guiding, entrance fees and lunches. We book hotels for you at cost — typically a cave hotel in Göreme and a boutique hotel in Selçuk — and add them to your invoice as a separate line.

How many flights are involved?

Three: Istanbul to Kayseri or Nevşehir on day one, Kayseri to İzmir on day two, and Denizli to Istanbul on day four. All are included, and all transfers are private.

Can the order of the regions be changed?

Yes, subject to flight schedules. Some guests prefer Ephesus first, then Pamukkale, then Cappadocia. Tell us your dates at booking and we build the sequence around the available flights.

Is the balloon flight included?

No. It is optional, costs around 180 EUR per person, and depends on weather — balloons are grounded roughly one morning in five. We book it for your first Cappadocia morning and confirm the evening before.

Is four days enough for all three regions?

It covers the essentials of each without rushing, because flights replace the drives. Groups that want more time in Cappadocia usually add a night there — the four-day route then becomes five days at a small supplement.
