We Run Private Tours, Not Group Departures
United Steps Istanbul Tourism is a TÜRSAB-licensed travel agency based
in Fatih, Istanbul. We run private tours across Turkey — Istanbul,
Cappadocia, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Gallipoli, Troy, Göbeklitepe and Mount
Nemrut — and a set of curated experiences in Istanbul and Cappadocia.
Our licence number is 12660, and it can be verified directly with the
Association of Turkish Travel Agencies.
Every tour on this site is private by default. That means one vehicle,
one licensed guide and one group: yours. No other guests join at any
point. The route can be changed on the morning of the tour if your
group wants it changed, and the guide works for you rather than for a
schedule.
We are a small operator by choice. We do not run coach tours, we do not
sell seats on shared buses, and we do not take guests to carpet shops
or leather outlets for commission. What we sell is time with a guide who
knows the site, in a vehicle that waits for you.
What That Actually Means
No Shopping Stops
We do not take guests to carpet shops, ceramic factories or leather outlets for commission — the standard practice on almost every group tour in Turkey. When a tour includes a workshop, you are there to watch the craft being made, and nothing is offered for sale. Our Carpet & Ceramic Workshop page says this in writing.
Licensed Guides Only
Every guide we work with holds a Ministry of Culture and Tourism licence, which requires a four-year degree, a foreign language exam and a government-issued guide card. We do not use unlicensed "tour leaders" or drivers who narrate.
The Price You See
The price on each tour page is what you pay, per person. Entrance fees, lunches, transfers and domestic flights are listed in the What's Included section in full, and anything that is not included is listed in What's Not Included. There is no supplement added at the end.
How a Private Tour Actually Works
-
Safe Traveling
Fully insured vehicles, licensed drivers with commercial passenger permits, and a guide who carries a first-aid certificate. Winter tours to Cappadocia and Mount Nemrut include weather contingency plans.
-
Affordable Price
Private does not mean expensive. A two-person party on our Ephesus day tour pays €599 each including flights — a coach tour with the same flights and a fraction of the time on site costs around €350. The extra buys three hours at the site instead of ninety minutes.
-
Comfort Accommodation
Hotels are chosen for position, not for star rating. A cave room in Göreme within walking distance of the viewpoints, a courtyard hotel in Selçuk five minutes from the Ephesus gate.
